Yesterday the New Moon moved into Pisces, ushering in a period of:
1) releasing helplessness,
2) feeling trust, and
3) using imagination.
Interestingly enough, these three themes are major keys to creating what you desire in life and work, and when you embrace these themes in a specific way, you can break free from limiting behaviors that would otherwise keep you stuck in poverty or perpetual “get by” mode, and move into abundance, whether it’s financial abundance or health abundance, once and for all.
So in this post I’m going to share with you how to create what you desire, using consistent clients and income as an example, by showing you how to integrate these Piscean themes into your life.
The first step is to release helplessness
To begin, let’s define “helplessness” so we’re on the same page.
Helplessness may conjure up images of damsels in distress who lose their power to evil witches, only to have it restored by handsome princes.
But the reality is, helplessness is what happens any time you disempower yourself.
For instance, when you say, “I can’t” you disempower yourself. It is a form of helplessness that stops you from having what you truly desire.
- I can’t afford it
- I can’t find the time
- I can’t follow my heart’s desire
- I can’t sell to people
- I can’t call people on the phone
- I can’t …
“I can’t” is a mantra that locks you into non-action, and only serves to keep you firmly nestled in your safety zone.
“I can’t” emerges when you are confronting an area of resistance and it usually feels like some sort of fear, denial in the form of “it’s just not the right time”, or sadness because you believe you “can’t have what you desire.”
But here’s the thing and this is really important:
On the other side of your resistance is your major breakthrough and if you want to have consistent clients and income, or anything else, you must breakthrough this resistance. It is the only way to succeed.
Said more simply, on the other side of your “I can’t” is the dream life you desire.
And the ONLY way to have what you desire is to release your helplessness and eliminate “I can’t” from your vocabulary.
So first you need to identify your default, “I can’t.”
For me it used to be, “I can’t afford it.”
It became my mantra: “I can’t get the business mentoring I need because I can’t afford it. It’s just not the right time. I guess it wasn’t mean to be.”
But that was a lie.
The bigger truth is that no matter how much money I had in my bank account, which was usually close to ZERO, and no matter how much debt I had, which was often north of $30k, the world is always full of an abundance of money and resources, and all I had to do to benefit from this abundance was tap into it.
The way I did that was to eliminate, “I can’t” from my vocabulary and replace it with, “How can I?”
That’s step one.
The second step is to trust your dreams.
One of the greatest laws of manifestation is that if you truly desire something in your heart and soul, there is a way to make it happen.
This law is so well known and documented that it is the foundation of Napoleon Hill’s book, “Think and Grow Rich” one of the most popular books on how to make money.
So how can you trust your dreams?
One way is to remember times you desired something and were able to manifest it.
This thing could have come easily or been more of a challenge to create, but it came to you nonetheless.
For instance, when I launched my first group program, it sold out in less than a week. That was a huge success for me. There was also a time when I launched a program that completely failed to fill. I could focus on the success or the failure. Focusing on the success helped me align with the possibility of more success. Focusing on the failure would help me align with more failure. I chose the success and it helped me maintain a sense of trust that what I desired was possible.
Where in your life have you successfully been able to meet your needs?
Make a list of 5 things you desired and manifested. Answer these questions:
What did you desire:
How did you make it happen:
What were the results:
The third step is to use your imagination to manifest your desires
Put your imagination to good use and make a list of 10 ways you can manifest what you desire.
For instance, if you need to invest in yourself in order to learn how to make money in your business, make a list of 10 ways you can create the money, like:
You can borrow the money.
You can sell something on ebay.
You can take out money from your 401k.
You can use a low interest credit card.
You can have a bake sale.
You can wash cars.
You can create a Kickstarter campaign.
Then take action. Choose one item and follow through with it. If it doesn’t work, try another one.
For example, when I wanted to study with my marketing mentor, I didn’t have the cash required to invest in myself.
I had a lot of debt and no desire to borrow money because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to pay back the loan. I didn’t want to feel the burden of even more debt, so I almost succumbed to my default, “I can’t afford it” and left it at that.
If I had done that, though, I would still be wallowing in debt and waking up in the middle of the night panicking about how to pay my bills.
Instead, I recognized my resistance and decided to move through it. I asked someone if I could borrow the money I needed to invest in myself and I was reluctantly given a loan. The hardest part was swallowing my pride and promising I would pay it back as soon as possible.
Then I had to confront more “I can’t” scenarios before I had my major breakthrough and within a few months of working with my marketing mentor, I made more than 10 times my investment and quickly paid off my loan.
When you let “I can’t” become your mantra, you stay stuck in helplessness. When you instead release “I can’t” and adopt, “How can I” you align yourself with the laws of manifestation and good things start to happen.
Print out the New Moon Manifestation sheet and hand write 10 things you desire. Focus on what you want to create. (Click the image to download the PDF file.)
You might write, “I want to empower myself by releasing helplessness.”
Or, “I want to create consistent clients and income in two months.”
It could be anything, but only write 10 wishes. Any more will dilute the new moon magic!
Then make a list of 5 things you’ve successfully created in your life, and follow up with a list of 10 ways you might manifest one of the things on your New Moon Manifestation sheet.
Then take action and make it happen!
