SECHAT with Molly Gordon: Ancestors, Dreams & Lifework
Here’s a link to the sechat. Start at the end and work backwards.
At 4:00 pm Tuesday, Pacific Time, I’m discussing how ancestral lineage and dreamwork may illuminate lifework direction.
Who is doing the interview?
Molly Gordon, the interviewer, is the self-employment coach you need to know. While our services overlap a little, most of our work is beautifully complementary.
We seem to have a lot in common, too: we’re both artists, gardeners, and spiritually-focused women who help people cultivate thriving self-employment services.
Where I focus on websites, though, she focuses on helping people have a healthy relationship with money (amongst other things).
In fact, if you have money issues (and who doesn’t?), then check out her program:
Authentic Wealth: Getting into Right Relationship with Money.
Also, you can sign up for her ezine by clicking here: mollygordon.com you’ll automatically get her ebook, “Principles of Authentic Self-Promotion.” If you like my ezine, it’s likely you’ll enjoy hers and get a lot out of it.
But I digress…
Back to the interview
We’ll be using an interesting format; one that’s likely to be new to many of my readers. Molly and I will be “talking” on Twitter, the social media platform that lets people communicate in 140 characters posts. (In case you don’t know, a letter is a character. This sentence, including the parenthesis and spaces, is 123 characters.)
Molly and I created 8 questions and as I mentioned, I’ll be answering them between 4-5 Pacific Time on Tuesday, April 19.
Here are the questions:
1. Amy: What got you interested in the relationships among ancestral lineage, dreamwork, and self-employment?
2. What kinds of non-traditional things might people look to for clues about their lifework?
3. How might a person’s biological or adopted ancestors influence lifework?
4. Amy: What questions could someone ask themselves to gain insight on how their ancestors affected their lifework?
5. How have you seen dreams reflected in or influencing your lifework?
6. Amy: What are some ways of working with your dreams to gain insight into self-employment concerns?
7. Amy: How might someone’s first and last names be clues to their lifework? How can someone look into this?
8. Amy: How would someone go about following up on the clues in their names?
How Can You Follow Along?
I’d love for you to join us, and it’s easy. You can just visit tweetchat.com and where it says TweetChat # ______ type in sechat (in the box) and click “go.” Then you’ll be able to read our discussion live.
How do you Participate?
The cool thing about this type of interview is that it’s participatory. You can ask questions or add your own wisdom and experience, maybe even fill in missing pieces we haven’t thought about.
But in order to do this, you have to have a Twitter account. If you don’t have one, and you want to participate in the interview, do this:
Create a Twitter account here: www.twitter.com. It’s free.
After you create an account, click these links to follow me http://twitter.com/#!/AmyBrucker and Molly http://twitter.com/#!/Shaboom
Then, at 3:55 pm pacific time on Tuesday, April 19 do this:
- Log into your Twitter account
- Open http://tweetchat.com/
- click “sign in” and then “allow” the system to connect to your Twitter account
- Then type in sechat after the # sign. Voila. You’re all set.
If you have any questions about this, email me amy@amybrucker.com. I’ll be around today and tomorrow and I’m happy to help you get set up.
In the meantime, think about your own ancestral lineage and any dreams you’ve had that may be related to your soul calling or lifework.
Who were they?
What did they do?
How are you like and different from them?
What does your name mean? Check out www.surnamedb.com for your last name and any baby name site for your first name.
