Dreaming of My Ancestors & Bella Grace Magazine Giveaway

bella-grace-magazine-giveaway

Every once in awhile I stumble upon something beautiful and inspiring that captures my full attention. Such are the pages of Bella Grace magazine; I fell in love with it the instant I held it in my hands.

Whenever I get a new issue, I brew a cup of tea, wrap myself up in a blanket, and settle into a cozy spot before I even open the cover. Each page is a peek into the private lives of women who share everything from finding “Magic in the Midst of Heartache” to “The Romance of Old Books” to “Embracing Imperfection.”

The words are soulful and deeply satisfying. (And I’m not the only one who thinks so. One woman wrote, “Bella Grace has been my saving grace. This has been a season of great loss for me. Your magazine has kept me from drowning in sorrow.”)

The photos are stunning. This issue I am particularly in love with the photography of Barb from www.keepingwiththetimes.com. She inspires me to grab my camera!

However, it isn’t only the words and photos that are so enticing. The magazine itself is printed on thick, cream colored paper, with design elements that make me feel like I’m reading a private journal instead of a magazine.

And here’s the point of this entire review:

I love Bella Grace so much, as soon as I returned from my trip to Norway, I began to write an essay about my experience with the intention of submitting it for their December 2015/January-February 2016 issue.

It was accepted! And you can find it on pages 68-73.

To celebrate, I’m giving away one copy of Issue 6 which includes my photos and essay, “Dreaming with My Ancestors” (thanks to Bella Grace for donating the issue).

To win a copy, all you have to do is leave a comment below.

If you want, you can also share about an ancestral journey you went on, or where you would go and what you would do if you haven’t gone yet. (An ancestral journey is a trip to visit the land of your ancestors.)

Just leave a comment below.

I will select a winner and ship you a copy. Contest is open to U.S. residents only.

Comment submissions are due by December 27, 2015 in order to be eligible to win.
